“A huge thank you for playing at our wedding. You provided a professional, personal service, as well as being an amazing musician. All our guests loved your performance – we couldn’t recommend you highly enough!” – Sarah & Matt Phipps

With many considering the acoustic guitar being one of the most romantic and versatile instruments there is, it’s becoming more and more popular as the choice of music for weddings. As a professional musician specialising in live performance, Jordan is passionate about delivering the best possible musical backdrop for your wedding. A vast repertoire covering styles including classical, jazz, folk, and pop arrangements can ensure suitability for every occasion – from the ceremony itself to the drinks reception, wedding breakfast and beyond.

Services:
Jordan regularly provides one or more of the following services for weddings:

Arrival of guests – The perfect chance to set the mood for your wedding and provide ambience as guests are seated.
Ceremony – Popular choices here include music for the entrance of the bride, the registry signing, and the bride and groom’s exit.
Drinks reception – A great option, especially when outside in the summer months!
Wedding breakfast – Allowing the ambience of the acoustic guitar to provide the background music as the guests sit down for the meal.

Audio and video samples of typical wedding material are available on the Repertoire page. A full list of previous wedding client testimonials can be found here. Please get in contact to enquire about pricing, availability, or to request a free sample CD.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Are you free on the date of our event?
I don’t have a publicly-viewable calendar, so the best thing to do is get in contact via phone or email to check availability.

Can you play a particular piece during the entrance / signing / exit of our wedding?
I certainly welcome requests from clients, and can usually accommodate them. I enjoy the challenge of arranging songs, and in the past have arranged tunes such as It Must Be Love (Madness) and More Than Words (Extreme) for solo guitar. Please get in contact with any requests and if I don’t already know the piece I’ll spend some time on it within the week to get you an answer as to its viability. It can take a month or so to arrange a new piece and get it up to performance standard, so the earlier I receive any requests, the more likely I can fulfil them.

How long do you need to setup?
For solo acoustic gigs the setup is very quick, usually in the area of 10-15 minutes.

How much space do you need?
One advantage solo acoustic guitarists is that they don’t take up much space. An area of two meters squared is more than enough. Basically I just need enough space for a chair and a guitar.

How can we pay you, and do you need a deposit?
I ask for a 20% deposit paid upfront to secure the booking, with the remainder paid on the day via either cash or a cleared cheque.

Do you need anything supplied on the day?
Just a chair, and access to an electricity socket.
